Buyer Beware ...

We were planning on applying to Ginger Valley (nursery and landscape supply company) as a contractor. They would not take our St. Joseph County Approved DBA Form as valid proof of our company's existence and require all contractors to have Federal Tax ID numbers. We are a Sole Proprietorship which is filed directly under David's Soc. Security number and he is PERSONALLY responsible for all taxes and income for The Grass Butler; and he works very diligently to ensure this happens. By requiring a Fed. ID number, you have to have an LLC or S-Corp. This means that Ginger Valley caters to larger local businesses and essentially cuts off discounts to small business owners running DBAs or start-ups in the community. We are sorry they will not be our preferred vendor, but we would rather work with a local nursery that WANTS to help grow small business in this economy. By finding a willing vendor, we will then be able to pass our savings onto you; which is part of our promise that to give you exceptional service for, hopefully, the best possible price!

We will happily pass along our preferred vendors names when we are able to establish working relationships with them! Thank you!
